COASTGUARD FISHING COMPETITION
21st – 23rd November 2025
ALL WELCOME
SPECIES: Snapper, Kingfish, Kahawai
LONGEST FISH: Maximum of 2 of each species per angler
PRIZES: 1st-3rd Longest Length each species Adult and Junior (first submitted if two entries are of equal length) and loads of Spot Prizes! In the event of fish not being caught in one category, all prizes will be drawn.
LINE WEIGHT: Fish must be caught in accordance with Club tournament & IGFA rules
ENTRY FEE: Adult: $50 Junior: $25
All entries via the TSFC with payment at the Club, online at www.tsfc.co.nz or via internet banking to 12-3209-0153933-00 Ref: TVCGFC. Full refunds will be given for any reason provided a refund is requested before briefing. Entries not paid by 5.30pm on briefing night will not be eligible for lucky draws on briefing night. No entries will be accepted between 6.00pm on briefing night and the end of briefing.
FISHING AREA: Chart 54 modified + Land based, including fishing from PWCs and kayaks as long as they have VHF communications with Tauranga Coastguard CH01
BRIEFING: 6.30pm Friday, 21st November 2025
NOTE: Briefing is compulsory and team captains or a nominated team member who is fishing the tournament must register at the office on briefing night, no later than 6.00pm and is to attend and remain until the conclusion of briefing unless prior approval to not attend has been given by the Tournament Convenor. All Anglers MUST collect “Angler Number Cards” from TSFC prior to fishing.
START FISHING: After briefing on Friday the 21st November 2025
Final fish length entry in time shall be the end of the contest. All fish must be photographed on an approved NZ Fishing Competition tape and must be submitted to fishing@taurangacoastguard.co.nz no later than 3:00pm 23rd November (no exceptions)
Measuring tapes will be provided.
FAILURE TO ADHERE TO TOURNAMENT RULES MAY RESULT IN PENALTIES BEING IMPOSED.
PRIZE GIVING: 6.30pm Sunday the 23rd November 2025.
