Based on the beautiful shores of Lake Rotoiti the Monster Trout Tournament is one part serious fishing, one part outright fun laughs and good yarns.
The venue is in fact the Dolman’s family home (392 State Highway 33 ROTOITI) spectacularly set on the lake edge with stacks of room and perhaps one of the most impressive entertaining spaces you will ever see! Ask about camping the night, stay in the boat or get some handy accommodation as Saturday evening is usually the sheep on a spit with Tony’s mean boil up!
Last year the fishing on Lake Rotoiti was world class with everyone catching fish and the average size coming in at the 2kg and most fish being in A grade condition.

You can enter by getting up to HAMILLS TAURANGA where Stacey and Richard will sign you up, sell you a licence and give you the latest tips and tricks and maybe even a possie or two if it’s your first time. Entry forms will be at HAMILLS 437 Cameron Road TAURANGA and onsale from the 10th Sept. From the 24th Sept Tickets will be available online and in the Club. After the 5th Oct time you will need to enter at the Dolmans(Rotoiti) or at the bottom of this page (using our ticketing option!)
On line ticketing is available FROM THE 24th September at the bottom of this page, or come on in to the Club where our epic bar staff will take your registration.
